WHY A STANDARD?
Beautiful is only the beginning.
A braided bumper can look beautiful when it first arrives. What matters to us is how it feels, holds its shape and performs over time.
The BlossomBay Shape Standard™ was developed through nine years of working with the product — learning how materials, filling, density and construction come together to create a braid with a consistent, controlled form.
It is our internal benchmark for every BlossomBay we make.
Not simply handmade. Carefully considered.

What gives the braid its form?
The details you cannot see are just as considered as the ones you can.
Inside every BlossomBay is carefully selected Class A silicone filling. Its structure helps create the characteristic density and form of our braids while remaining soft and lightweight.
Combined with 100% cotton fabrics and our construction process, it forms the foundation of the BlossomBay Shape Standard™.
What defines the BlossomBay form?
01 — Density
A considered amount of filling creates the characteristic fullness of the braid while maintaining its intended form.
02 — Stability
The construction is designed to give the braid a stable, substantial feel rather than a loose or irregular shape.
03 — Shape
Each braid is formed with attention to proportion and consistency, creating the clean silhouette that defines BlossomBay.
04 — Durability
We select materials and construction methods with long-term use in mind, so the product can remain part of your home beyond its first season.
From the materials we select to the final form, we control the details that define a BlossomBay.
Every braid has a standard to meet.
Material
We select fabrics and filling based on their quality, feel and performance over time.
Filling
The filling is carefully distributed to create consistent density throughout the braid.
Construction
Each braid is formed by hand with attention to proportion, tension and overall stability.
Finish
Every finished piece is checked before it leaves us, from its shape to its final details.
